Tigers - 3rd place team at MBC

Tigers take 3rd place at MBC tourney

2/3/18 -

After struggling a bit the past 2 weeks in closing out their dual schedule, the Tigers came into the Middle Border Conference tournament with plenty to prove.  Despite being without 182 pound starter Jake LaVenture, who was out sick, the team wrestled up to their potential and finished in  3rd place on the day.  Their team score left them only 1.5 points behind Somerset for 2nd place.  Ellsworth again won the team championship  handily to continue their reign over the conference.

The Tigers sent 4 wrestlers to the finals and came away with 3 conference champions - Brandon Dennis at 126, Dylan Wachter at 152, and Nathan Fehlen at 160.  Ryan Muller finished as runner-up at 220 pounds.  Other place-winners included Matt Harle (5th) at 106, Cayden Henning (4th) at 120, Tyler Dennis (3rd) at 132, Devon Denison (5th) at 138, Joe Powers (4th) at 145, Travis Messer (3rd) at 195, and Anders LeMire (6th) at 285.
