The New Richmond Tigers Wrestling teams capped off an exciting year at the State Tournament last weekend. They did get some good post season season news as well as 7 Tigers in total were named to the 2025 Big Rivers All Conference Wrestling Teams. We want to congratulate and celebrate them all of the athletes as yet another one of our programs has contributed to a fantastic and memorable year of athletics for the New Richmond community!
Congratulations, Senior Tiger Wrestler Luke Kamish, on placing second at the WIAA State Individual Wrestling Tournament in Division I 144-pound weight class!
The New Richmond Tigers advance to team Sectionals on February 18, 2025 - 6:00 pm at Hudson High School.
12 Individual Wrestlers advance to Sectionals - February 22, 2025 - 10:00 am at Eau Claire North High School.
Payton Waidelich finished runner-up In the Regional tournament and will advance to the Sectional tournament which will be held in Ladysmith on February 21, 2025.
Tessa Clennon finished her season in 5th place in a tough 100 pound weight class.
The New Richmond Tigers continued their winning ways on Friday evening, claiming victory at the Somerset Team Duals.
New Richmond swept all three dual meets in Pool A with a dominant score differential of 173-33! The results were as follows:
New Richmond vs. Stanley-Boyd: 57-18
New Richmond vs. Somerset: 63-15
New Richmond vs. Unity: 53-0
In the championship match, the Tigers defeated conference rival Eau Claire North 49-22 to secure first place!

The Tigers dominated in Chippewa Falls on Saturday, bringing home a 1st place trophy to New Richmond. It was a total team effort, with every wrestler contributing to the victory.
New Richmond finished 1st out of 11 teams, scoring 311 total team points. They were followed by West Salem/Bangor, which took 2nd place with 300 points, and host school Chippewa Falls, which finished 3rd with 264 points.

The New Richmond Tiger junior varsity (JV) team competed in Menomonie on Saturday. The Wisconsin JV State Series advances the top four place-winners in each weight class to the JV State Championships later this season.
The Tigers had a strong showing, qualifying six individual wrestlers. They were led by M. Riordan (215), who took 1st place, pinning all but one opponent on his way to the gold medal. A. Olson (132) also reached the finals, earning 2nd place. C. Schachtner (165) had an impressive performance but fell just short in the championship match, losing 2-0 and finishing in 2nd place.

The New Richmond Wrestling Team delivered an outstanding performance at their home tournament this past Saturday.
The Tigers secured 2nd place out of 11 teams, falling only to Centennial (MN).
